As we come to a close on our summer series of Impossible Goals, I hope you enjoy these last tasty morsels of possibility. Before you read on, you'll want to catch up on Part One and Part Two with more stories of real people who experienced the seemingly impossible.

In our next newsletter, we're shifting focus to The Art of Friendship and our next fireside, September 4th.

Impossible Goal #1: Creating a #1 Mindset -- In Work and Life

When I first met Luke, he was toying with the idea of starting a wellness company and reached out to pick my brain. It felt impossible to him.

What started as a business inquiry turned into a deeper conversation. Through a few coaching calls, Luke began to uncover some painful truths—his marriage was unraveling, and despite earning a great salary, his job left him feeling empty.

But most revealing was the quiet belief he carried: that he was always meant to be a “number two”—the reliable second-best. A number two son, partner, employee. Luke is a sober addict from drugs and alcohol, and his brother was an NFL player who won a Super Bowl, leaving him feeling lesser-than in general. There was no room in his mindset to be number one.

About a year later, Luke came back ready. He’d gone through a divorce. He’d had the hard conversations at work. And then, he did the brave thing: he quit.

He launched his own consulting business, and within six months, it was so successful that he started a second company. Then he hired someone to help him run it.

He ended up building something far greater than he thought possible. He fell in love again. He traveled to Europe for the first time. He took lavish vacations (for the first time in his life!). He moved to a beachfront apartment in Los Angeles. He poured love into his growing niece and nephew. He turned loss into fuel.

His next impossible goal was to make $30k-$50k a month between his businesses. He did.

Even now, a couple of years later, Luke still credits those early conversations as the spark for his impossible goals—but the real magic was in his willingness to envision something better and to take small, brave steps to make it happen over time.

Impossible Goal #2: Going Full-Time with HER Construction Business

When I first met Amanda, she was a high-level executive in a cutting-edge modular designer and manufacturer firm. On paper, she had it all—title, salary, industry attention. But deep down, she craved more work-life balance, more professional fulfillment, and a life that reflected her full range of passions.

Her impossible dream was to "someday" work full-time in the construction business that she and her fiancé created together a couple of years prior. They imagined being the go-to General Contractor where they lived in Arizona, and supporting their community in building ADUs (additional dwelling units).

As we worked together over the next couple of years, something shifted. She became clearer—and bolder—about what she really wanted. Eventually, it became clear: her current job couldn’t hold the full vision she had for herself.

So she made a leap. Amanda left that role and launched a new company with her partner. The business was profitable from day one. Opportunities flowed in, including consulting gigs tied to her previous work. And her personal life blossomed too—she made lifestyle and health choices that supported her growth, and built a life that truly felt like hers.

Today, Amanda has the income she wants, the freedom she needs, and the love she quietly dreamed of. She travels the world with her fiancé and son, she serves as an advisor for companies in her industry, and she makes plenty of time for her personal hobbies and wellness habits.

What once felt out of reach is now her everyday reality. It’s a reminder: sometimes the life you want begins with the courage to name it.

I hope this series has given you inspiration and hope that the unspoken or unmeasured dreams you have might be more within reach than you assumed.

In a couple of weeks, we're shifting to a series on The Art of Friendship. I'll be sharing my messy and honest journey with friendships of all sorts, and I'll teach the fundamental keys to what creates a healthy, joyful, fun, mutual friendship that thrives.

We will host our monthly fireside Zoom on friendship on September 4th, too.

What are you facing in your own friendships right now? What isn't working for you with certain friends? What are you craving?

I would love to know. Reply back here and I'll write back personally.

With love,
