Impossible Goals Pt 2: Two More Stories That Might Just Change What You Believe
Woman #1 bought her dream home, quit her job, traveled, got married, and wrote a book. Woman #2 landed her dream job, but it was a nightmare, so she started a business with her sister.
If you missed part one, you'll want to catch up here!
And if you want to join our next fireside on Impossible Goals happening August 7th, you can join here.
Our Impossible Goals summer series is dedicated to sharing REAL stories of NORMAL, average people who created incredible RESULTS by slowing down and really looking at their dreams - and what was in the way of them.
These stories aren’t about billionaire influencers or magically lucky people.
These are folks like you and me—who were willing to explore possibilities (and their own inner ceiling) longer than most people.
Dream #1: Buying a home/ quitting her job/ getting married/ writing a book!
Gina lived and worked in Europe, where she was born and raised. We first did coaching because she wanted a promotion at the fintech company where she worked as a project manager. She had been there a long time, and it was overdue. In addition to the promotion, she dreamed of buying a home that overlooked the water in her town. Gina had never owned property before, and she deeply desired that.
Through our work together, she got both of those things.
We worked on her inner beliefs about her work and how "hard" it would be to convince her boss to give her a promotion. We looked at exactly what she wanted. We crafted a step-by-step plan for how she'd talk to her boss and how to pitch her idea.
She got that promotion.
For her dream house, we looked at exactly what she wanted, the money needed, the ideal location, and more. She created a vision board for the home she wanted. She went to open houses on weekends. She biked around until she found the perfect place.
And it overlooked the water!
Then... a couple of years later, she came back for more coaching. She wanted to quit her job, travel the globe for a year, interview interesting people, write a book about it, meet her husband, and move to the USA.
We again went back to her inner beliefs about what's possible, and we visioned for what she wanted exactly. She started taking action to make it happen.
Gina cashed out her stocks in the company, then she rented out her flat, then she booked the first 6 months of her trip -- and friends met her along the way so she wasn't ever fully alone!
On that trip, she gathered stories about bravery from the people she met. She spent a full year traveling.
And at the end of her trip, she published a book about embracing bravery, which is a collection of stories from her life and the people she met on her global year of travel.
Dream #2: Quitting the original "dream job" and starting a business with her sister!
Alyson has always been a deeply dedicated learner and a hard worker. She has always dreamed of being a school principal, and she went through years of education, training, certifications, and eventually did the job of principal.
Not only did she get her dream job, but she got it in one of the best school regions in the States.
However... her dream job turned out to be a nightmare. Due to Covid, constantly changing education laws and policies, and so much more, her once-dream job became something she dreaded every day.
Her warm and fun-loving personality started to wane. She grew more anxious and depressed. She didn't like who she became and how she felt, and there was so much disappointment she faced.
Alyson started coaching with Three Beats and decided to slow down and get support on what she should do next. She ended up taking an extended leave of absence and giving herself space to vision for resolving her nightmare.
By the end of her leave, she quit her job, started her own virtual assistant agency with her sister/best friend (a dream of theirs!), and it was profitable immediately. Within three months, they hit $10k in billings, and their client roster grew.
Camell Collective became so successful that they hired three more contractors to handle the client load, and they started being able to offer even more variety of support services -- from a 6-week "digital organization" to websites for small businesses to ongoing retainer work for businesses.
Fun fact: Alyson's agency supports Three Beats in project management, digital management, and administration! Alyson and her team are AMAZING.
Your Turn… What’s Your Impossible Goal?
These stories aren’t just inspiring—they’re invitations.
What if your “pipe dream” is actually just a possibility in disguise?
What if it’s not about hustle or luck—but about slowing down, getting honest, and opening up to what’s possible?
Step One: Clarify the dream.
Step Two: Write out all the “Why Nots” about what’s in the way of the dream.
Step Three: Just experiment. How much would the dream be? What would need to be in place to make it happen?
Step Four: Make a decision. Are you willing to start taking action towards it? Getting support? Saving money? Asking for the opportunity?
See what happens.
