Trusting Your Gut Isn’t Woo—It’s Wise.

Every day, you're making decisions—some small, some massive—that shape the direction of your life, business, and relationships. And while strategy, analysis, and logic are all valuable, there’s another voice that often goes unheard: your inner wisdom.

This voice doesn't compete for attention. It whispers. It nudges. It offers quiet clarity in a world that’s constantly shouting.

But how do you actually tune in?

How do you learn to trust yourself in the moments that matter most?

You're not alone if you've been taught to override your instincts with what sounds reasonable, looks impressive, or pleases others. The good news? Your inner wisdom hasn’t left—it’s just waiting to be invited back into the conversation.

Here are three simple ways to begin the process of attuning to your inner wisdom:

1. Create Micro-Moments of Stillness

Your gut doesn’t shout—it nudges.

Start building in 60-second pauses throughout your day. Whether it’s before a meeting, replying to a text, or making a decision, take a breath, close your eyes, and ask, “What do I know in my body right now?” Often, clarity comes not from thinking harder but from getting quieter.

Example:
One of our clients set an alarm in her phone with gentle music to remind her to do a brief check-in with herself. She started with just one week of this practice, and it was so helpful she extended it week after week.

2. Track Your “Yes” and “No” Sensations

Your body responds to alignment.

A “yes” might feel like lightness, ease, or a full breath. A “no” might feel like tightness, heaviness, or hesitation.

Begin noticing how different situations, people, and choices land in your body. Keeping a simple journal can help you recognize your personal signals over time.

Example:
One of our facilitators opens every workshop with the question: "How are you in this moment, right now?" The point is for everyone to get clear about what’s taking up space inside.

People share things like, "I'm worried about my husband's test results today," or, "I'm nervous about a big presentation I'm giving tomorrow." These check-ins are powerful because they bring people into their bodies—into presence.

3. Practice Small, Gut-Led Decisions

Let intuition guide the small things—like what to eat, which way to walk, or who to call.

These low-risk decisions build the muscle of trust, so when life asks bigger questions, your gut already has a seat at the table.

Listening Inward Changes Everything

Reclaiming your connection to inner wisdom is one of the most powerful things you can do as a leader, a creator, a partner, and a human being. When you begin honoring the quiet knowing within you, life becomes less about efforting and more about aligning.

Application

So here's your next step: Pick one of the practices above and commit to it just for the next 7 days.

Set a reminder. Tell a friend. Make space for your inner voice to rise. Track it and see how it lands for you.

And if you want support in learning to live and lead from your own wisdom—we’re here. This is the work we do every day with people just like you.

What's the action you're taking? Reply back and let me know. I'll respond personally.
